The iMERMAID project gained significant visibility on the international stage as partner Zentrix Lab showcased a key project innovation at the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference. The event, a leading global platform for the embedded systems community, was held in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 11th to 13th, 2024.

At the conference, the Zentrix Lab team presented the iMERMAID sensor specifically developed for detecting PFOA contaminants. This cutting-edge technology, created within the scope of the iMERMAID project, represents a crucial tool in the ongoing efforts to effectively monitor and combat chemical pollution in water resources. Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a persistent environmental pollutant, and the ability to detect it reliably is vital for remediation strategies.

The Embedded World Exhibition and Conference provided an exceptional venue for this showcase. Gathering a large concentration of experts, developers, and qualified suppliers from around the globe, the event fosters the exchange of ideas and the development of concepts for future technologies. Presenting the iMERMAID sensor here allowed Zentrix Lab to engage directly with industry leaders and highlight the practical application of advanced sensor technology in environmental protection.
