The iMERMAID project successfully showcased its latest technological advancements at Ecomondo, the leading international event in Europe for the green and circular economy.
Hosted at the BlueMissionMed booth, iMERMAID joined forces with fellow innovation actions to present a united front against marine pollution. The event served as a key platform to demonstrate how EU-funded research is being translated into tangible solutions for monitoring and minimizing contaminants of emerging concern in wastewater and aquatic environments.
Representing the consortium, Christina Zeri presented iMERMAID’s cutting-edge innovations. The presentation highlighted the project’s dual approach of advanced monitoring and remediation technologies designed to tackle chemical pollution at its source before it reaches the open sea.
The participation underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving the EU Mission: “Restore our Ocean and Waters.” iMERMAID was featured alongside the NETTAG+ and REMEDIES Innovation Actions, creating a hub of expertise focused on safeguarding marine ecosystems.
