The 4th Annual Mission Forum in Brussels proved to be a milestone for the iMERMAID project. As part of the #EUOceanDays, we took to the exhibition floor to share our progress and passion for protecting the Mediterranean ecosystem.
One of the highlights of the event was sharing our exhibition space with two other trailblazing EU projects: RHE-MEDiation and EFFECTIVE. Together, we formed a hub of innovation, demonstrating how collaborative research and diverse expertise are essential to solving the complex pollution and restoration challenges facing the Mediterranean today.
The energy at the booth was exceptional. We welcomed hundreds of participants—ranging from policymakers and researchers to industry stakeholders—who were eager to learn about our specific solutions. These interactions provided a unique platform to exchange ideas and inspire one another on different ways to safeguard our seas.
The iMERMAID spirit was brought to life by our team on the ground. Our coordinator, Rodrigo Sedano, alongside Ellie Shtereva, PMP, Serena Amico, and Naomi Timmer, spent the day actively sharing our project’s results and building new bridges with the wider water protection community.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who stopped by our booth. Whether you are a long-time follower of our work or discovered us for the first time in Brussels, your interest is vital to our success.
