As part of the EU Green alliance and in celebration of the European Union’s Green Week 2024, the University of Angers is hosting a webinar titled “Water Resilience” on June 21, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30.

Understanding Water Resilience

Water resilience refers to the ability of individuals and communities to adapt to and recover from water-related challenges such as floods, droughts, and pollution. It involves finding effective solutions to better manage these situations and minimize their negative impacts.

Program Highlights

The webinar will feature presentations by Maxime Pontié, a chemistry professor at the Faculty of Sciences, along with post-doctoral researchers Serge Mbokou and Adil Ait-Yazza. They will discuss the monitoring and treatment of organic micropollutants in the Mediterranean basin, a key focus of their research for the European project iMermaid, in which the Université d’Angers is a partner.

Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with the participants, providing an opportunity for in-depth discussion and engagement.
